Who is behind the EDDA stoneware brand?

Why EDDA?

Edda is derived from Erda and is the Old High German word for earth. Find out more under “ About us ”.

Where do EDDA products come from?

The idea and inspiration originated in Oberallgäu in the Allgäu Alps. They are produced in Portugal. #borninportugal #raisedinthealps

Are EDDA products handmade?

Each item is handmade and the individual character of each item is unmistakable. You receive honestly produced unique pieces with rough edges, bumps and dents and every pattern is a little different.

Where can you buy EDDA products?

You are welcome to order EDDA products in our online shop, but we are also currently expanding our stationary network. For example, you can find EDDA products in the fashion boutique RUPP Moden in Allgäu.

How do you define fair & sustainable?

Sustainable (in a nutshell): Our products are made from natural raw materials, are produced energy-efficiently, have a long service life and are recyclable.

Fair (in a nutshell): Fair price performance, i.e. a fair wage for everyone involved in the value chain, safe and healthy working conditions and fair trade practices that ensure the protection of people and nature.

Order

How can I place an order?

As soon as you have found one or more items in the shop, put them in the shopping cart - you can find it at the top right. There you can check whether all the items you want are in your shopping cart. If everything is ok, click on “ Checkout , enter your address and select a payment method. By clicking on “ Check order ”, your details will be checked for accuracy and if everything is correct, you can click on “ Buy and complete your order.

How do I know if my order was successful?

After you have completed your order, you will receive an order confirmation from us by email. In the confirmation you will find a link with which you can check the status of your order.
As soon as your order has left our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation by email with a link to track the shipment. In another email you will find your invoice as a PDF attached.

Can I still change my billing or delivery address after ordering?

If you have already placed your order but have not yet received a shipping confirmation, you are welcome to let us know your change request. Simply fill out the contact form with the relevant change request and send it off. " To contact form "

Can I also pick up my order myself?

What can I do if the order is incorrect or damaged?

We are very sorry that your order reached you incorrectly or damaged. Please contact us using our " contact form " stating your order number. We will then take care of your request as soon as possible.

How can I cancel my order?

If you don't like something, you can easily return it within 30 days. If you want to cancel the contract, you can simply send the relevant items back to us together with the completed return slip within 30 days.

Shipment

How long does it take to ship to my home?

The expected delivery time from dispatch within Germany is approx. 2-3 working days, within Europe 5-10 working days and when leaving the EU customs union it can take 10-20 working days.

Which shipping service provider delivers my order?

The goods are checked before shipping, optimally packaged and then sent insured by DHL and their international partner to the specified delivery address.

What do I have to consider when shipping to a non-EU country?

When shipping to other non-EU countries, the recipient may incur customs fees. Please find out more about this from the responsible customs authority.

Additional customs fees are not included in our shipping costs.

Please note that customs fees are charged per package and not per order.

How much are the shipping costs?

How will my order be packaged?

We pack your order as plastic-free as possible and if there is plastic, then only recycled stuff. We use paper and cardboard with FSC certification as packaging material. In order to avoid unnecessary packaging waste, we try to reuse as many returned packages as possible.

Can I track my order?

As soon as we have handed your order over to our shipping partner, you will receive a shipping confirmation from us by email. Here you will find the shipment link with the shipment number of your package.

How can I make a return?

You can return unused goods to us within 30 days and request an exchange or refund.

If you would like to send something back to us, you will find a link to your return slip in the confirmation email - this also counts as your legal cancellation. Fill it out and include it with your return so that we can allocate your shipment.

Pack the items well to avoid damage in transit. The goods should not show any signs of wear.

Do not send the package freight forwarded! If goods are returned freight forwarded, DHL will offset the applicable fee against the credit for the return.

Who will cover the costs of shipping to my home?

Within the EU and for goods worth less than €100.00, you are responsible for the shipping costs. If the value of the goods is higher than €100.00 and you are in the EU, we will cover the shipping costs for you. If you are outside the EU, you will be responsible for the shipping costs, regardless of the value of the goods.

Who covers the costs for return shipping?

You. Due to the young and still small company structure, we unfortunately cannot cover the costs of returns. We ask for your understanding.

How long does it take until I receive a refund?

You will usually receive a refund for your returned items within 7-14 working days of receipt of the package in our warehouse using the payment method you used for your purchase.

At the end of each newsletter at the foot of the email you will find a link to unsubscribe from the newsletter. Simply click on it and remove yourself from the list.

Can I order vouchers from you?

Yes, you can find our vouchers in the shop. Under the name Fairschenk voucher you can select and order the following amounts: €10, €25, €50, €100. We will then send you a PDF with the voucher and voucher code by email.

How long is the voucher valid?

The voucher is valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

Use & Care

Are EDDA products microwave-safe and oven-safe?

You can put our products in the microwave without hesitation. EDDA products are open-strength up to a maximum of 180 degrees.

What is the best way to clean my ceramic products?

You can have your ceramic dishes cleaned in the dishwasher without worry. Of course you can also wash them by hand. ;)
